We Need You!
Every year over 300 volunteers help make the Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival the success that it is. Without the hard work and dedication of the volunteer team this event would not happen. Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas on site during the event and leading up to the weekend itself. If you would like to join us for all of the fun and excitement this event has to offer, please follow the links on this page to register.

VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION: THURSDAY, JUNE 16th at 6:30pm in the Main Tent (Festival site at Mooney's Bay)
Important Information
Please review the following information about volunteering for the 2011 Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival taking place on June 17th-9th at Mooney's Bay Park:
- As this is an outdoor event, ALL volunteers should be prepared to work in ANY type of weather.
- Volunteers must be a minimum of 14 years of age. Any volunteer under the age of 18 MUST submit a signed, manual waiver to complete their registration (available as a download here).
- All volunteers are required to work a minimum of one (1) 4-hour shift over the course of the event.
- Certain positions require special qualifications or commitments; please review the job descriptions carefully prior to signing up for a shift.
- Volunteers are expected to attend the on site orientation meeting which traditionally is held the Thursday evening before the Festival.
- Volunteers will receive: meal vouchers, water, parking passes, Volunteer T-shirt, a Volunteer Handbook, an invitation to the volunteer party, and a great team-building experience.
- No position is guaranteed; we will do our best to meet special area requests, but appreciate your flexibility and understanding during the scheduling process.
- WHAT TO BRING TO THE FESTIVAL: hat, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, water bottle (to refill at our Hydration Station)
- PLEASE NOTE: lockers are NOT available
