Concerts and additional programming are fully funded through the generous support of artistic grants and sponsors.
Team registration fees help cover the costs of renting dragon boats, equipment, judges' tents, race course, practices, officials, medals and trophies.
The festival provides a hydration station, which allows people to re-fill personal water bottles; to-date 29,827 plastic bottles diverted from local landfills.
Registration fees are not charitable donations and therefore are not eligible for tax receipts. To support local charities visit ODBF.ca.
The festival community has over 5000 Paddlers, 75,000 Attendees, 2 dozen vendors, over 2 kilometers of fencing, and even it's own power grid!
Over 500 volunteers contribute over 9000 hours to help put the festival together, and to keep up their energy the festival needs over 700 lbs of food!
