Opening Ceremonies and Charity Races

Be there at the Opening Ceremonies to witness all the pomp and circumstance that launches the festival weekend. Amid the skirl of the pipes two hundred dragon boat teams march through Paddler’s Paradise in the Parade of Champions to open the festival. The ceremonial sights and sounds continue with traditional Chinese Lion Dancers, the centuries old tradition of the Dragon Eye-Dotting Ceremony, and some words from our illustrious guests.
